Yeah I'm not sure, maybe folks who have associated Diablo with it's roots, D3, D2, D1 kind of 'couldn't imagine' a F2P mobile version of the franchise - despite it being clearly labeled as such. (fuck you EA) It's been YEARS since we had a new Diablo game and here we have something to hold us onto until D4 releases together with D2 Resurrected (like Fallout Shelter to Fallout 4) and people still aren't satisfied. Sure, Blizzard basically gave old time fans (even me) a big FU by releasing this one on mobile and showing a huge middle finger to all the PC gamers who support their past games for years but they made at least some amends with Diablo 2 Resurrected (a fully paid game with no MTX) and the upcoming Diablo 4. It's clearly stated that this was primarily for mobile with hundreds of gameplay footage in the past few years showing that it's more like Diablo 3.5 with re-used assets and yet people still expect it to be Diablo 5 when 4 isn't even released yet.Īlso, unless these people can't read, the PC version was only announced like a month before the official release and even literally states that it's in Beta in the sign in screen and they expect it to run as smooth as a baby's ass when ALL live game services in recent years always face some sort of hiccups on day 1.Īlso, the game is F2P which again, was clearly stated waaay back, and if people had exercised some due deligence to read up on how past Netease games work, they would know what to expect when going into this game instead of acting all "surprised Pikachu face" when they found out that the game has MTX when it's already FREE.
